It's a very early Saturday after Thanksgiving and I just finished up a bridal shower card for this afternoon. I think it turned out beautiful! Thanksgiving in our house was a little delayed due to a turkey that refused to cook! Of course, once it saw the erroe of it's ways, it was delicious. Had just a couple people over but it's was just a thankful time spent with family. I really love my family and spending time with them. There have been many changes this week. A new cousin born Wednesday, triplets came Thursday (along with the bride to be!), sister-in-law flew in from Texas Friday, and don't forget the Black Friday shopping! I did not get up early, just couldn't do it, but we did venture out this afternoon and made it home about 10:00. I made a huge dent in my shopping. Yayyyy! Now the wrapping. Ugh! On to the card. I used my Cricut and cut the frame using the Fancy Frames cartridge I won from www.Joyslife.com last summer and the Victorian Romance cartridge for the dress. I used my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug to emboss the mat behind the dress. I added a metal charm from my stash tied up with some ribbon from Michael's.

The hubs and boy were gone again this weekend with their boy scout troop so I spent ALOT of time in my craft room! I worked on a few swaps and decided that my Christmas cards would not make themselves and there was no better time than the present. So I got busy. First I made a box to put them in...
And then I made this card to match the box...
Then I moved on to a couple cards with non-traditional Christmas colors......
And another non-traditional color mix
Now the next two cards are almost identical but I wasn't sure what color to make the star...What do you think?
And last but not least......
I am far from being down but I'm super excited to have gotten a jump on my cards! Let me know what you think :)

Well, I'm back! I had a great weekend at a crop over the weekend in Ohio. Geneva-On-The-Lake Ohio is just a nice, relaxing place to visit and scrapbook. I finished 12 pages, made a half dozen or so gift card holders and snuck in a trip to Pat Catans while I was there! we stayed at The Lodge and let me just say, WOW. I didn't spend much time in my room but when I did it was great having my own Keurig so I could have a yummy cup of coffee when I wanted one. My aunt came with me and I do think she had just as much fun as me. I'll only post a few pics of the pages I finished and then I have a pic of the wreath I made for my son's teacher for Thanksgiving. He attends a small catholic school so I didn't do anything for Halloween so I wanted to have a mice greeting on the door for the last few weeks leading up to Thanksgiving.
I love making anything paper related, I never considered myself a scrapbooker but I really did enjoy the whole process. I need to add some maybe an embellishment or two but overall I'm pleased with how they all turned out. Thanks for looking :)

Well, Hurricane Sandy has come and gone. Prayers are with everyone who was hit the hardest, I don't know anyone personally but I know of some families that lost everything. We were lucky here along Lake erie. Our big window in the living room leaked for 3 days straight, I dumped alot of water and washed a few loads of towels but we weathered through. Only a 2 hour delay at school and no power loss. I haven't "made" anything to take pics of, been doing a few swaps and packing up for my weekend crop in Ohio. Super excited for that! If I come up with anything, I'll be sure to post it.

I don't know why this pic is sideways, it shows the right way on my SD card!

It's been crazy, busy around here! I've joined Swapbot and have been making cards and ATC's in the hopes that I'll have enough ratings so I can join a mega Christmas card swap at the end of the month. In the meantime here are a few Halloweenn cards I put together with a cheap scrap paper pack I picked up at A.C. Moore. I'm in love with the witch hat kraft cardstock!

Well, it's been a wild week around here! So much going on and so few hours in the day. Thursday was my MIL's birthday...I had a doctor appointment in the morning and when my sister got off work we headed 3 hours downstate to bring her son home from college for the weekend. 6 hours of driving. Whew. It was so hectic I had to use a card from my stash for my MIL. I heard she liked it.
My boys are off camping ( brrr it's going to get into the 30's tonight!) and they took the camera so I won't be able to post anything I make until after they get home. I will spend some time in the krafty korner getting ready for a weekend crop in Ohio next month.
Be back soon with pics. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy World Card Making Day!

In honor of World Card Making Day I took some time to get into the krafty korner and make a few cards. The first 2 Christmas cards came together quickly. I used an older paper stack from DCWV for the patterned paper, Recollections cardstock and a Stampin Up! punch for the stocking. The sentiment is from an old set I've had for a while now.
The last card is a new stamp from Rubber Stampede that I just picked up. I colored it with Faber-Castell gelattos (wow, they are so smooth!) and filled in with Stampin Up! markers and brushed some stickles over the trees to make them shine.
It feels great to get back in my room and do something!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend :)
